Why volunteer with MASA-MexEd?
MASA-MexEd seeks to provide disadvantaged students with free academic help that will help them improve their school performance. The need for tutors is evident in the alarming numbersof students who are not reading at grade level or who are repeating grades due to low academic performance. MASA-MexEd has successfully provided services to more than a hundred children, who are unable to afford a private tutor and lack the resources in their neighborhoods or homes to receive academic assistance. Furthermore, MASA-MexEd provides free English as a Second Language courses (ESL) to the parents of the students we tutor - which helps equip parents with the language skills they need to help their children with homework.
The success of our efforts is highly dependent on the willingness of volunteers to donate their time. As our program grows, so does our need for dedicated volunteers.
Together, we can provide local children with the opportunity to excel in school. If you would like to become a tutor, apply today!
